Heartspring helps those diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Heartspring, gives patients the opportunity to learn more about their disease and ways to control its symptoms. Heartspring, a free program, made possible through private and state grants, is coordinated by Catherine H. Bunker, RN, Cardiac Nurse Educator.

Ms. Bunker contacts patients enrolled in the program on a regular basis and maintains communication with a patien's physician to help coordinate the patient's individualized care plan.

Ms. Bunker is available to congestive heart failure patients to answer any questions or concerns, help assess symptoms, and assist in maintaining contact with physicians. She also serves as a link to services within the hospital or community and supports patients in making healthy lifestyle decisions.
