"We Did It!!“When we talk with women about what they’re looking for in a provider, the number one answer is time.” As our name implies, The Women’s Health Center is all about women’s health – mind, body, and spirit - from adolescence through all stages of womanhood. Our mission is to be your primary resource for all your health needs, including obstetric and gynecological care. To truly know our patients is to care for our patients. That’s why we schedule longer-than-usual appointments that give both you and your provider time to talk, to listen, to interact because your care is more than a list of symptoms, ailments or procedures. If you are in the process of choosing a provider, we invite you to get to know us and find the connections that work best for you through our Personal Introductions program. We’re happy to offer no-cost meetings so you can get to know us so we can begin building lasting relationships for better health. Who we areWe take pride in the fact that our provider and support team not only work at The Women’s Health Center, they built it! Nearly 20 years ago, The Women’s Health Center was conceived to fill a need that was identified by women in our community. That effort was led in part by Mary Dudzik, MD, Linda Robinson, CNM, Jane Tawney, PA-C, and office manager Carmen Sanford, who brought the vision to fruition in 1993. Today they are every bit as involved in ensuring The Women’s Health Center stays true to its mission of serving every woman of the MDI community. Our Services: a philosophy, not a catalogMany women are surprised to learn that our mission extends far beyond women’s reproductive health. Our goal is to be your primary resource, your go-to providers, for all your health needs. We are your partners in health for everyday primary care and your portal to highly specialized care for your unique circumstances. Welcoming new life with old-school serviceWe’re there, no matter what, no matter when. It may seem odd to say that we’ll be there for the momentous occasion but it’s not uncommon for higher volume practices to have select providers on-call outside of normal business hours. That’s not the case at The Women’s Health Center. When you’re big day arrives, your preferred provider is committed to being there. We even been known to rework vacations to better accommodate your due date. Community buildingWe at the Women’s Health Center view what we do as a way of life and not to a place to work. As a part of the community, we believe in doing our part to help bring to the forefront issues and programs that support our community’s success. Whether it’s programs to help teens make informed choices or raising awareness about women’s health issues such as breast cancer awareness, The Women’s Health Center, through our Community Advisory Committee, is, by design, a partner in the care of our community.
