Offered through MDI Hospital’s health center-based family practices as well as annual public clinics, immunizations are available for children, adolescents, and adults. Immunizations (vaccines) are a way to create immunity to certain diseases by stimulating the body’s immune system. The risks of vaccines are small compared to the risks associated with the diseases they’re intended to prevent.

The following vaccines are available through our health centers, however your doctor will determine the best vaccinations and schedule for you and your child.

  • Hepatitis B
  • Pneumococcal Vaccine
  • DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis)
  • Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)
  • IPV (Polio)
  • Influenza
  • H1N1
  • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • MCV4 (meningitis)
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Rotavirus
  • HPV (Human papillomavirus)
