Visiting Cardiologists Dr. Alan H. Wiseman, MD and Dr. Guillermo Crespo, MD, members of Northeast Cardiology Associates, provide comprehensive diagnosis and intervention for people with cardiac disease. Drs. Wiseman and Crespo will work closely with referring physicians to ensure that goals are closely monitored and met. Our role is not to replace your primary care physician (PCP), but to serve as a highly specialized extension of his or her care.
Patients with suspected heart disease will undergo a very careful, extensive history, a complete physical examination and any necessary cardiac tests. Fortunately, much of the time we’re able to rule out cardiac problems through our testing procedures. In the event you do require further testing or intervention, your primary care physician will be continually updated and consulted regarding your treatment.
If any test results are of serious concern, your primary physician will be notified as soon as the results are available. Otherwise, your referring physician should receive the test results within ten working days.
