Dr. David Goodenough provides consultation for patients with diseases of the central nervous system and peripheral nerves and muscles. Dr. Goodenough works closely with referring physicians to ensure that issues of concern are carefully assessed and communicated so appropriate intervention, if warranted, can be started.
Frequently, a single visit is all that is required for evaluation, however follow up visits and testing, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography Scan (CT Scan), electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCV), and electroencephalogram (EEG) are occasionally recommended.
A neurological evaluation may include a complete assessment of the nervous system but is typically focused on parts of the nervous system related to symptoms with which the patient is presenting.
Dr. Goodenough will prepare a detailed report with his assessment and recommendations, including any suggested referral to additional specialists.
Patients suffering from the following issues may benefit from a consultation with Dr. Goodenough: nerve damage, foot drop, spinal cord or neck injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome; multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, seizure disorder, migraine headache.
