Database Manager and Prospect Researcher:

Full time, 40 hours per week, benefit-eligible position. The Database Administrator and Prospect Manager is responsible for creating and managing an effective infrastructure to support the gift processing, prospect management and database needs of the Office of Advancement. This includes preparing financial reports and facilitating prospect management meetings. Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience required. Demonstrated computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with database management, particularly Raiser's Edge. Ability to pay close attention to detail at all times when inputting data and compiling information regarding donor gifts, pledges and acknowledgement letters. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with donors and volunteers. Ability to work independently and as a team, handle multiple projects and priorities, exercise good judgment and maintain absolute confidentiality of donor records and financial information.

Advancement Officer:

Full time, 40 hours per week, benefit-eligible position.  The Advancement Officer manages the Mount Desert Island Hospital’s Annual Fund Program and plays a key role in donor cultivation and stewardship efforts. Working with the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Officer will also develop and maintain an ongoing portfolio of major and deferred gift donors and prospects.  1 to 3 years of fund raising experience, including annual fund development required. Major gift experience helpful.  Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database management.  Experience using Raiser's Edge and Research Point helpful.  Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience required.  Some travel required.

Respiratory Care Therapist

Per Diem, All Shifts. Must take call every 4th weekend.

Responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures.  Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiopulmonary system.  Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.  Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Maine license as a

Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist required. The ability to work independently, prioritize, multitask and handle multiple patients at once is necessary. CPR required. ACLS within one year. PALS is desired.

CARE MANAGEMENT

Director of Care Management

Full Time, 40 hours per week, Benefit Eligible. The Director of Care Management participates in major programming for holistic care throughout the community; serves as the leader for the activities of the care management and social work staff; oversees the coordinator of the federally designated diabetes program and serves as a leader for primary care activities in collaboration with senior management, medical staff and community participants. Master level preparation is strongly encouraged. Current Maine license is required. Membership in relevant professional organizations is expected. The Director demonstrates proficiency in public health issues and should have experience in the planning and implementation of care for groups of people either in the hospital or community setting. The Director should be well versed in Medical Staff relations and have a proven record of collaborative practice. Training in care management, leadership principles, advanced nursing care or social work is needed. The Director must have the vision and drive to function as an effective change agent while improving the care of groups of patients. Recent changes in the organization such as the construction of a new SW Harbor facility and development of Senior services at Birch Bay and SW are examples of innovation that should continue. Has the ability to plan, teach, implement and evaluate. A quick thinker who needs minimal direction is preferred.

Per diem RN Care Manager/Care Coordinator

Provides timely care coordination of quality healthcare services to meet individual specific healthcare needs in a cost effective manner.  Care Manager with primary role of Inpatient Care Manager in combination with coagulation clinic.  Current Maine licensure required.  Suitable candidate must maintain continuing education appropriate to care management and professional licensure.  Anticoagulation therapy management certificate required within 3 months.  Current BLS required.  Minimum of 5 years acute care.  Medical Surgical experience required.  Care management experience required.  Must be willing to cross train to other areas.  Weekend/Holiday call coverage may be required.

CRITICAL CARE UNIT

RN CCU/MS/Tele

Full time, Day shift, 36 hours per week, benefit eligible position. Responsible for direct total nursing care of patients including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the policies and procedures standard in the Critical Care Unit.  The CCS RN will plan and deliver care for acute adult and geriatric medical and surgical patients, coronary patients, and in rare cases, infant, pediatric and adolescent patients.  The CCU RN will provide after hours post-anesthesia recovery care.  The Telemetry RN will provide care for those patients assigned to his/her unit.  The CCS RN will maintain skills in detection and management of all aspects of intensive care, including use of specialized equipment and procedures.  Current Maine licensure as a registered professional nurse. CPR Provider Status. Critical Care/Code Blue Course. ACLS and PALS within one year of hire (TNCC, CCRN, NALS encouraged).
