Responsible for preparing and positioning patients for exams, knowing the operation of all diagnostic equipment and producing radiographs of acceptable quality to ensure that the examination/procedure is complete and ready for radiographic interpretation. This position is also responsible for the care of the patient while in his/her charge, and shall be able to assess the ongoing condition of the patient and call for any needed assistance. Patient population encompasses all age groups and medical/surgical diagnoses. Education, Training or Certifications Required: Licensed Maine Radiographer. ARRT advanced standing exam in Mammography is required. Additional training in computer use and word processing preferred but not required. CARDIAC REHABILITATION

Cardiac Rehabilitation RN -Per Diem

Per diem, day shift. Provides care and implements nursing process for patients in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase I and Phase II program. Responsible for administering therapy to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiac system. Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular system to aid physician in diagnosis and treatment of heart disorders. The nurse will assume responsibility for the complete care of the assigned patients during assigned shifts; emphasis will be toward assessment planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care. This RN will have specialized training in Cardiac Rehab and be ACLS certified. To meet with patient needs, nurses will integrate with many of the ancillary/support departments including respiratory, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and cardiology. The Cardiac Rehab RN communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology; is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. Education, Training or Certifications Required: 1. Current Maine licensure as a registered professional nurse. 2. CPR Provider status and ACLS (within 6 months). 3. Coastal Care Team RN

Full time 40 hours per week. The Coastal Care Team Registered Nurse's primary responsibility is to assist in the overall management of CCT patients, particularly those with chronic conditions. They do this through a population-based approach as well as individual interventions such as individual health and behavioral assessments to identify prevention, treatment or management intervention opportunities. Perform population health, care management, patient self-management support and clinical documentation functions. Grant Project Coordinator

32 hours/week benefit eligible position to coordinate and oversee a 3 year HRSA Rural Health Care Services Outreach Grant Program. The overall goal of the project is to improve population health through community-based care that integrates primary/mental/behavioral health care, utilizes technology and tele-home monitoring and works with community partners to expand access to services. The Project Coordinator will coordinate day to day project operations and work closely with the Director of Care Management, Community Care Team and project partners to implement the grant. The coordinator will ensure compliance with the grant goals, assist with the budget and purchasing of equipment, develop reports, and establish collaborative relationships with community partners. Will participate in the long range planning and sustainability of the project. Education, Training or Certification Required: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), associate’s degree preferred. Medical Assistant Certification preferred. Diabetes Education and Care Management RN

Full time 40 hours per week. Responsible for the education of the young adult, adult, gestational, pre diabetic and diabetic within the hospital setting and outpatient setting. Responsible for planning, organizing and implementation of the Maine Diabetes Prevention and Control Program (DPCP), ADA/ AADE national standards. Education, Training or Certifications Required: 1. Shall be a licensed RN in the State of Maine. 2. Shall attend the New Instructor Program conducted by the Maine Diabetes Prevention and Control. 3. Critical Care RN

Full Time Nights. Responsible for direct total nursing care of patients including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the policies and procedures standard in the Critical Care Unit. The CCS RN will plan and deliver care for acute adult and geriatric medical and surgical patients, coronary patients, and in rare cases, infant, pediatric and adolescent patients. The CCU RN will provide after hours post-anesthesia recovery care. The Telemetry RN will provide care for those patients assigned to his/her unit. The CCS RN will maintain skills in detection and management of all aspects of intensive care, including use of specialized equipment and procedures. Spend the Summer on the Coast of Maine working at Mount Desert Island Hospital. Hospitalist PA

Per Diem. Assists the Physician Hospitalist in the provison of high quality care within the scope of the Hospitalist Service and as delegated by the Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program or the Physician assigned as the Hospitalist during the service hours of the Hospitalist PA. Under the auspices of the Hospitalist Scope will include but is not limited to 1. The provision quality health care in the Hospital, including Inpatient, Observation, SwingBed and Emergency Departments, in keeping with community values and as outlined in the Hospital Mission Statement, Policies and Procedures and Standards. 2. This position is also responsible for the care of the patient while in his/her charge, and shall be able to assess the ongoing condition of the patient and call for any needed assistance.
