BREAST CENTER

Per Diem Mammographer

Responsible for preparing and positioning patients for exams, knowing the operation of all diagnostic equipment and producing radiographs of acceptable quality to ensure that the examination/procedure is complete and ready for radiographic interpretation. This position is also responsible for the care of the patient while in his/her charge, and shall be able to assess the ongoing condition of the patient and call for any needed assistance. Patient population encompasses all age groups and medical/surgical diagnoses. Education, Training or Certifications Required: Licensed Maine Radiographer. ARRT advanced standing exam in Mammography is required. Additional training in computer use and word processing preferred but not required. Experience Required: Completion of an accredited program in Radiography.  Two years or more of experience in Mammography preferred but not required.

An allied health specialist who is a Maine Licensed Certified or Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner. Patient population is predominantly adult and geriatric with some pediatrics and adolescents. Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary and EKG Coordinator, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures. Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiopulmonary system. Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.  Education, Training or Certifications Required: Holds a current Maine license as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist. Current BLS provider status. Part time 8 hours per week. This RN implements operations and nursing process for the Oncology/Hematology Department. This RN maintains patient records, QI initiatives and oversees equipment and operations in the Oncology/Hematology area. Full time 40 hours a week, The Pharmacy Technician performs pharmacy related functions within the scope of their license and education under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist. High school diploma or GED.  Must hold Maine Pharmacy Technician license.  National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.  If not nationally certified, must show evidence of working towards certification within 6 months of hire and obtain certification within 1 year of hire. Per diem position. Responsible for the direct, total nursing care of acute pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients; including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of this nursing care within the policies and procedures of Surgical Services, PACU and MDI Hospital. Delegates and supervises patient care activities of unlicensed SS Staff and Ancillary personnel. Directs post-anes. nursing care concerns to the chief anesthetist. Education, Training or Certifications Required: Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing. Holds current Maine RN license. Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
