The Straus Center Adult Day Program is looking for a dedicated, dependable, and team-oriented person to provide transportation and personal care to seniors. Position is responsible for assisting with the day to day functioning of an adult day health services program, and includes personal care assistance and creating a safe and engaging environment for seniors. 36 hours a week, benefit eligible position, 24 hrs ED & 12 hrs either ED or CCU, 7p - 7a shift. Includes every other weekend & rotating holidays. Experienced Emergency Department RN plus extensive critical care experience. Responsible for nursing care to patients of all ages within the Emergency Department.  This includes assessment, planning, implementation. ESI 5-level triage experience. Must be comfortable working in each unit independently. BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC.  ENPC and CEN and/or CPEN preferred. Extensive experience in ED/CCU may substitute for certifications other than ACLS - all advanced certifications not held at hire must be obtained within 1 year of hire. 5/7/14

School Nurse - Trenton

Behavioral Health Center Counselor 

24 - 32 hours a week, benefit eligible position -The clinician is responsible in providing direct patient care at the Behavioral Health Center. Help Desk Technician I

Full time, benefit eligible position.  The Helpdesk Technician I will be responsible responding to requests for support via phone, email, walk-ins and user submitted support requests from the IT support portal. Additionally, the Helpdesk Technician will provide support and troubleshoot existing computer systems including associated hardware, data, phone and wireless communications and provide basic informational training to users. Manager - Lab

 Full time, 40 hours a week, benefit eligible position.  Provides technical oversight to the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of laboratory results. Through training and supervision, the laboratory manager ensures that laboratory personnel adhere to best documented practices, including quality, safety and environmental procedures. He or she maintains, audits, and monitors all required systems, processes, methods and equipment. The incumbent collects specimens, performs quality control and analytical testing, and evaluates and reports results following theories and principles of prescribed strategies. He or she uses independent judgment in problem solving and the evaluation of abnormal results, and is available as a resource for MTs, MLTs and phlebotomists. Will assist Director of Laboratory with staff evaluations and budget planning.  Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology required.  Registry with ASCP, AMT or NCA or registry eligible.  Clinical experience in high complexity testing area required. 8/20/14

Nursing Supervisor

Full time, 36 hours a week on the night shift. Coordinates all patient care activities and patient care personnel across the Clinical Divisions. Provides clinical support to all patient care units as needed.  Represents Hospital/Nursing Administration in their absence, using additional management/leadership skills. There is a Supervisor on duty 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Current Maine licensure as a registered professional nurse.  Requires ACLS,PALS and TNCC,NALS within one year. Responsible for managing all aspects of the private pay accounts receivable.  Serves as the primary coordinator and contact for debt collection both vendor and patient.  Independently assesses and establishes payment plans (with guidelines), verifies charity care programs qualifiers and investigates other alternative financing.  Manages with limited supervision, patient account management, coordinating accounts with multiple vendors, patient financial counseling and inter departmental cash management.  Associates degree related to Business or Healthcare finance and/or work experience with 2 plus years in healthcare as Accounts Receivable Rep/Biller/Cashier/Collector/Practice Manager.  Detailed knowledge and understanding of ICD-9, CPT and coding classification systems.  familiar with medical terminology and familiar with insurance rules and regulations for payment specifically for Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO and Workers Comp. Strong Healthcare customer service skills. Responsible for the direct, total nursing care of acute pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients; including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care within the policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Surgical Unit and MDI Hospital.  Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing.  Holds current Maine RN license.  Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.  Specialty certification encouraged. Previous Ambulatory Surgery nursing care experience required. Minimum 1-2 years acute care nursing experience required. Proficient IV/Portacath access skills.  Strong interpersonal skills.  Emotional maturity and good people skills required. Familiarity with computer applications
