Dozens of area residents enjoyed free health screens, demonstrations of local health and wellness services, and convenient flu shots during MDI Hospital's October 30th Fall Health Fair at Birch Bay Retirement Village.
The event featured screenings for body mass index, blood pressure, bone density, cholesterol, hearing, eye pressure and foot checks. Demonstrations on alternative healing practices including acupuncture, reflexology and massage were also available.
Over 40 people took advantage of the flu shot clinic, while children painted pumpkins in time for Halloween.
