Jeff Murad BS, CNMT, NCT is Director of Medical Imaging

Jeff Murad is MDI Hospital's Director of Medical Imaging. In this leadership role, Murad is responsible for the management of all medical imaging services include CT scanning, X-ray, ultrasonography, breast imaging, MRI and nuclear imaging.

Murad brings more than 24 years of experience in medical imaging, most recently working in a leadership position at Eastern Maine Medical Center’s non-invasive cardiology section. Prior to moving to Maine, Murad led the nuclear cardiology section at Mercer Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.

Murad earned his bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is currently an MBA candidate in health care management at Husson University, which is  a degree program he enrolled in anticipating the next step in his career would be an imaging department directorship.  Little did he know at the time, that the position he sought would become available in his own community. “This is the first time in my career I live and work in the same community,” Murad said.

Murad and his wife, Heather, have two college-age daughters Ashley and Alyssa, and live in Bar Harbor.
