Emergency and Obstetrical Services

Christina Costello, RN, BS, CEN is the Director of Emergency and Obstetrical Services.

Chris works hard to provide a positive work environment for her staff while as well as high quality emergency and obstetrical services for our community.

In addition to her duties as Director, Chris works with the Hospital’s Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to organize and maintain necessary preparedness equipment and facilitate emergency preparedness education for the hospital.

Chris, who worked for ten years as an Emergency RN at The Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire, brings a vast amount of experience to her position at MDI Hospital.

She has been involved in pre-hospital medicine as a volunteer community EMT/EMT-Intermediate, Ski Patroller at Wildcat Mountain and as a wilderness emergency medicine experiential instructor/facilitator for SOLO. 

Her Nursing experience includes precepting, clinical orientation development and coordination, competency and skills development and organization, and serving as a preceptor instructor for the Northern New Hampshire Hospital North Country Nursing Educational Consortium.

Chris is a Certified Emergency Nurse and a Pediatric Advanced Life Support instructor, and is certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum.
