Aimee Walls is the Director of Care Management.
Her responsibilities include overseeing the Coagulation Clinic, Diabetes Clinic, Discharge Planning, Social Services and Community Wellness. Aimee is also currently developing programs for the community and local businesses in conjunction with the community wellness educator. Aimee is very knowledgeable in nursing, education and human services.
In 1981 Aimee received her associate’s degree in Human Services from the University of Maine. In 1983 she received her bachelor’s degree in Education, and in 1993 she earned her other bachelor’ degree in Nursing. Along with her education Aimee has had over ten years experience in health care.
Before Aimee started working for MDI Hospital she worked for a local nursing home. For the past nine years, Aimee has worked for MDI Hospital; her first position at the hospital was a Med/Surg Nurse along with working part time as a Care Manager. Eventually the Care Manager position expanded into a full time job which helped Aimee transition into her role as Director. Aimee also volunteers her time as a Board member of Island Connections.
