Physical Therapy — Chip Dugans

Ernest “Chip” Dugans, director of Physical Therapy, is responsible for managing the daily operations and overseeing the patient care in both out patient and Skilled Rehabilitation settings for both Mount Desert Hospital and the Community Health Center in Southwest Harbor.

Chip graduated from Husson University, with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. He has experience working in skilled nursing facilities in both the Bangor and Bar Harbor area. He has also worked extensively in clinical areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, sports medicine, acute and skilled hospital settings and out patient clinics. Chip’s knowledge and experience has made him a perfect fit as director for our Physical Therapy department.
