A large crowd of well wishers was on hand for the October 20th ribbon cutting ceremony in Mount Desert Island Hospital’s new Oncology and Hematology Department. The event, co-sponsored by the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, gave the public its first glimpse of the spacious new second-floor facility.
MDI Hospital medical staff once again provided critically important support for the runners in the MDI Marathon, held this year on Sunday, October 17. Despite perfect weather, the medical tent at the Sourthwest Harbor finish line was busy and our team provided expert, compassionate care for the exhausted and injured.
