MDI Hospital medical staff once again provided critically important support for the runners in the MDI Marathon, held this year on Sunday, October 17. Despite perfect weather, the medical tent at the Sourthwest Harbor finish line was busy and our team provided expert, compassionate care for the exhausted and injured.
Pictured at Sunday’s MDI Marathon are (left to right) Elise Oneil, RN, Kate Worcester, PA-C, Gwen Herbert, RN, and ER Clerk Audrey Hanley. Also helping runners at the MDI Hospital tent were Bert Levesque, RMA, her daughter Ariel Levesque, Cort Baseett, PA-C, and Phlebotomist Wally Ferguson. The Hospital also provided volunteers at miles 8 and 10 who provided water and good cheer to the runners as they passed from Seal Harbor to Northeast Harbor on their 26.2 mile journey.
Medical and volunteer service at the MDI Marathon is one of many ways MDI Hospital provides outreach and support to our community.
