PINK ON THE LINKS—Participants of the Kebo Valley Ladies League Pink on the Links Golf Scramble visited the Breast Health Center last week to deliver a check for $3,950 raised during their annual fundraiser. All told, the Ladies League raised $5,276 for the Breast Health Center during their annual Pink on the Links event, more than doubling their generous donation of $2,000 made last year.

“The event was a huge success,” said Ladies League President Edi Hall, “it means so much to me that our community came together to support this cause, which is personal for me and so many of us.”

“Pink on the Links began many years ago after a beloved Kebo Ladies League member passed away as the result of breast cancer,” she said. “The originators recognized how incredibly fortunate our island communities are to have the Breast Health Center providing mammograms and diagnostic services and they wanted to support it.  Many, if not all of our Ladies League members know of someone that has been affected by breast cancer and have been witness to the incredible care that is delivered here.”
