You don’t have to go cold turkey when quitting tobacco. Mount Desert Island Hospital’s Smoking Cessation Program as service of our Wellness Program, is designed to provide smokers the resources and support to help them break the grip of tobacco addiction – for life.
Hospital or health center patients who want quit can request support and we will contact you to discuss the many options and resources available to help you through the process of quitting.
Resources include quit smoking aids, such as gum and patches, relaxation CDs. The Maine Tobacco HelpLine is a confidential, free service offered by Healthy Maine Partners offers support that can help you stay tobacco free for life.
The Maine Tobacco HelpLine, 1-800-207-1230, answers your questions and offers friendly support to those who are thinking about quitting or who are ready to quit smoking, or those who want to help a friend or family member quit.
