Walks in the Park
– Mondays & Wednesdays –
Our walking program is designed for pleasure or fitness. We encourage you to pace yourself. MDI Hospital’s Wellness Program is not responsible for lost or stolen items, injuries or accidents. Our goal is to offer a safe and enjoyable activity for everyone. All walkers who are not currently exercising should consult with their health care provider before starting any exercise program.
Walking Group Details:
1. Walks Begin at 8:00AM
2. In case of inclement weather, cancellations will be determined by 7:00 am and program participants notified via email.
3. Things to Consider:
• Please wear appropriate shoes
• Dress in layers
• You may want to bring; water, snacks, insect repellent, camera
4. Group Limit: 20

“Walks in the Park” Schedule:
Wednesday, October 1st
Somes Sound Overlook. Meet at the Parkman Mountain parking lot (one half mile north of Hadlock Pond on the east side of Rt 198). 3.2 miles out and back.
Monday, October 6th
Wooded Loop. Meet in the upper, overflow parking lot for the Jordan Pond House. 3.5 mile loop.
Wednesday, October 8th
Eagle Lake West side. Meet at the Eagle Lake Parking Area, out and back. 4.0 miles.
Monday, October 13th
Hadlock Brook Loop. Meet at the Brown Mountain Gate House Parking Area, just before Northeast Harbor. 3.9 miles.
Wednesday, October 15th
Little Long Pond. Meet in the upper parking area for Little Long Pond (pass the gate and drive .25 miles towards Northeast Harbor to reach this parking area). 4.0 mile loop.
Monday, October 20th
Amphitheatre Loop. Park in the lot just north of Brown Mountain Gate House (one mile north of Northeast Harbor on Route 198). Up to 5.2 miles.
Wednesday, October 22nd
Day Mountain Loop. Meet at Wildwood Stables (restrooms available!), walking the perimeter loop around Day Mountain.
3 miles.
Monday, October 27th
Eagle Lake towards Bubble Pond. Meet at the Eagle Lake Parking Area, out and back. 4.0 miles.
Wednesday, October 29th
Witch Hole Pond. Meet at Duck Brook Bridge Parking area. 3.4 miles.
