We want to share an update on the campus improvement activity you may notice throughout October. Here’s what to expect in the weeks ahead:
- Noise Attenuation Blankets: Our engineering team will be installing noise attenuation blankets designed to suppress noise from mechanical systems. A few more blankets are on their way, and once all are installed, they should help alleviate the ringing noise that has been noticeable.
- Hammering Near the Emergency Department (ED): Hammering work in this area is expected to wrap up by the end of October. Once it is complete, there will be a break from this activity until mid- to late-January, when crews will return to continue work.
- Steel & Foundations: You’ll begin to see structural steel going up and foundation walls taking shape in the New Main Street Entrance.
- Main Street Work: Crews will be conducting drainage work and preparing for the construction of the new main entrance.
- 310 Main Street: The building at 310 Main Street is scheduled for demolition at the end of October. Much of the month ahead will be focused on prep work leading up to this activity.
- Wayman Lane Trees: Trees along Wayman Lane will be removed in mid- to late-October. Please know that town approved landscaping plans are in place for project completion.
We appreciate your patience, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email mariah.cormier@mdihospital.org.
