Dr. Silvio Saidemberg, MD will provide child, adolescent and adult psychiatric services at the MDI Behavioral Health Center beginning December 1st.
Dr. Saidemberg will hold office hours Monday through Friday at MDI Behavioral Health Center’s 322 Main Street, Bar Harbor location.
He completed his psychiatric residency training in 1976 at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated hospitals including Warren State Hospital, Hamot Hospital of Erie, Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute of Philadelphia, and Presbyterian Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Saidemberg was an Instructor and Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York from 1976 to 1978.
From 1979 to 2002 and again from 2006 to 2008, Dr. Saidemberg was in private practice in Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He served in a variety of teaching posts in Brazil and the United States from 1979 to 2006.
Between 2003 and 2004, Dr. Saidemberg served as Acting Clinical Director and Adult Psychiatrist at the Greater Binghamtom Health Center in Binghamtom, New York. From 2003 to 2005, he provided child and adolescent psychiatric services in the Adolescent Day Treatment facility of the Greater Binghamtom Health Center.
Dr. Saidemberg provided child and adolescent psychiatric services at the Center House Outpatient Program of the Greater Binghamton Health Center from 2004 to 2005.
Between 2005 and 2006 Dr. Saidemberg served as Medical Director of the Behavioral Health Services of Aspirus Wausau General Hospital, Wausau, Wisconsin.
Since 2008, he has provided child and adolescent psychiatric services at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent.
Dr. Saidemberg is a Board Certified psychiatrist fully licensed in Maine, Wisconsin, New York State and District of Columbia. He is also licensed in Sao Paulo State, Brazil.
