Kathryn Suminsby, a longtime member and past President of the Mount Desert Island Auxiliary was honored during a recent ceremony for her longtime dedication to the MDI Lifeline Program.
The event, at Birch Bay Village was held to recognize Kathryn’s service to the program since its inception 27 years ago. Administered by the Hospital’s Auxiliary since its introduction on MDI, the LifeLine program was recently transferred to Birch Bay Village.
During the event Art Blank, MDI Hospital’s President/CEO presented Kathryn with a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of Phillips Lifeline.
“Since LifeLine began, Kathryn has ensured that local seniors have access to this valuable personal emergency response service, and are able to live independently in the safety and comfort of their homes,” said Mr. Blank. He also presented her with a token of appreciation from MDI Hospital, and thanked the Auxiliary for being supportive partners over the years.
