Dr. Daniel Myles is a board-certified family medicine physician serving patients at MDI Hospital’s Trenton Health Center. His approach to care is guided by compassion, curiosity, and commitment; values that reflect his dedication to helping people and solving problems.

Dr. Myles has a broad range of medical interests, including preventive care, chronic disease management, mental health, and geriatric medicine. He is passionate about working collaboratively with his patients to support their health and well-being at every stage of life.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Dr. Myles fell in love with Mount Desert Island and the surrounding area after visiting and decided to make it his home to be closer to family in Nova Scotia.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Myles enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, playing and watching sports, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his wife and family.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Myles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Biology from Acadia University, where he also completed a thesis in Psychology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of the Americas in Saint Kitts and Nevis, followed by a residency in Family Medicine at the University of North Dakota in Minot.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Myles brings valuable life experience from his previous work in the human services field and his time teaching English in South Korea.
