MDI Health is proud to recognize Beth Applebee, Emergency Department Technician, as our 2026 Employee of the Year.
Presented annually during the organization’s Employee Picnic, the Employee of the Year Award recognizes an individual who exemplifies MDI Health’s mission, values, and commitment to providing exceptional care to our community.
Working in the Emergency Department requires calm under pressure, quick thinking, teamwork, and compassion. Every shift brings the unexpected, and patients often arrive during the most stressful and vulnerable moments of their lives. Beth has earned the respect of her colleagues by consistently meeting those challenges with professionalism, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to patient care.
Beth’s nomination was submitted and co-signed by nine Emergency Department nurses, a testament to the profound impact she has on her team. Together, they described Beth as hardworking, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly dependable, noting that whether the department is at its calmest or its most chaotic, she remains steady, efficient, and focused on delivering the highest quality care.
As an Emergency Department Technician, Beth is known for always stepping in where she is needed most. Whether assisting with complex procedures, supporting new team members, or offering comfort and reassurance to patients and families during difficult moments, she approaches every interaction with compassion, dignity, and respect.
