Dr. Thomas H. Oliver is a board-certified urologist. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1979 and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1983, followed by a Urology Residency from 1984 to 1989. Dr. Oliver is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has maintained American Urological Association (AUA) board certification since 1992.

Dr. Oliver has an interest in a wide variety of urological conditions, which led him to pursue a career as a general urologist. “I enjoy helping people with stone disease, prostate and PSA issues, and female incontinence,” says Dr. Oliver.

His awards, honors, and professional experience include Phi Beta Kappa, University of Georgia Basketball Letterman, AUA Board Certification in 1992, Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons since 2000, and recognition as Teacher of the Year at UGA/MCG Medical School in 2019.

Dr. Oliver was drawn to MDI after a chance walk along Wayman Lane toward the beach path introduced him to MDI Health. He had also previously met Dr. Rao, the former urologist at MDI Health. Outside of work, Dr. Oliver has a lifelong interest in college basketball and football. He enjoys singing in choir, spending time in his workshop, and spending time with his wife, children, and eight grandchildren.
