Family Nurse Practitioner Linda Crowell has joined the practice of Mark Kandutsch, MD at Cadillac Family Practice.
Ms. Crowell is providing comprehensive primary and acute care to new and existing patients of the practice.
She will work with patients to provide a systematic approach to chronic disease management, as well as general adult and pediatric care.
Ms. Crowell received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maine, Orono in 2007 and her Master of Science of Nursing from the University of Maine in May 2010.
Ms. Crowell brings to her new position a broad base of nursing experience in inpatient care, the emergency department and the maternity unit.
Between 1994 and 2010, Ms. Crowell served as a Charge Nurse on Mount Desert Island Hospital’s Medical/Surgical unit and in the Emergency Department.
She also worked on the Hospital’s Obstetrics unit, providing nursing support for laboring mothers and care for newborns. She was also responsible for providing education to new families after delivery to help them learn about many facets of parenting safe, healthy babies.
Ms. Crowell has also served as Preceptor for graduate nurses, providing guidance and support as they begin their transition from student to professional.
“Linda brings a strong background in many areas that will benefit our patients,” said Dr. Kandutsch. “Her many years in emergency nursing will allow us to see more same day urgent care patients, and provide much-needed acute care overflow support.
“Her experience in the Obstetrics Department will also provide our patients with experience in the early childhood care,” add Dr. Kandutsch.
“I’m really enjoying working in the primary care setting,” said Ms. Crowell. “It is rewarding to use my years of experience and training to help people maintain and manage their health.”
