Mount Desert Island Hospital Incorporators Announce New Structure as Friends of MDI Hospital
Bar Harbor, ME | March 2, 2023 – Mount Desert Island Hospital is excited to announce a new Incorporators structure that will allow for more community involvement and engagement with the hospital. The Incorporators will now be known as the Friends of MDI Hospital, and they will serve as ambassadors, supporters, advocates, and advisors for the hospital.
The Friends of MDI Hospital will have more opportunities to connect with the hospital and the community through events, forums, public policy advocacy, and volunteer opportunities.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the Friends of MDI Hospital and provide a structure that enables us to better connect with our community,” said Chrissi Maguire, President/CEO of MDI Hospital. “The Friends will be instrumental in supporting our efforts to provide quality, affordable healthcare to the people of our region.”
Membership in the Friends of MDI Hospital is open to anyone who is interested in becoming an advocate for the hospital and supporting its mission. Member engagement will not only include external opportunities with forums, events, and public policy advocacy, members will also serve as community advisors to the hospital internally, providing feedback and input to the hospital board and committees.
