Short Term Rehabilitation

The Short Term Rehabilitation Program at MDI Hospital allows your physician to transition your care from acute care to short term skilled care. In the Short Term Rehab Program, you receive daily therapy to meet self-care goals set by you and the Short Term Rehab Team. You recover close to home, in the familiar surroundings of your community hospital.

Short Term Rehab care involves not only your doctor, but an interdisciplinary team of providers who establish and oversee a care plan that will meet your rehab goals for discharge.

To qualify for admission to the Short Term Rehab Program you must have at least a three-day stay as an acute care patient and must require a “skilled” level of care.
