Tree and Site Work: We do not expect major removals this month, though some trees may need to come down near the new oxygen tank pads along the back east property line.
Noise & Hammering: Construction noise will continue at both the Emergency Department (ED) area and the Main Entrance. Hammering will pause briefly later this month but is expected to resume after the first of the year.
Noise Attenuation Blankets: Our team continues coordinating the installation schedule for the noise attenuation blankets. We will share an update as soon as timing is finalized.
Interior Work & Department Impacts:
- Wayman Lane Entrance/Lobby: By mid-December, traffic patterns will shift to a single public entrance/exit on Wayman Lane. The original entrance will transition to ambulance-only access. A marked drop-off/turnaround area will be available for walk-ins, and the parking spots will be adjusted for the new traffic patten.
- Emergency Department: Enabling work will continue this month, on track to complete this stage ahead of the new year.
- The existing internal stairway near the ED will close starting December 5 and will remain closed through the end of the year. Other stairwells and the elevator remain available to use, please follow signage.
Holiday Work Schedule: There will be no scheduled work on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Crews will be operating on a reduced schedule around the holidays.
Looking Ahead: At the start of the new year, we will begin relocating construction fencing from the temporary ED area to the east side of the building. Our team will work closely with facilities and operations staff before any new fencing is installed to ensure a smooth transition.
