Starting at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19, please use MDI Hospital’s new Main Entrance on Main Street for scheduled hospital appointments and visits. Emergency Department access is unchanged.
Our new Main Entrance marks an exciting milestone in our Campus Improvement Project, providing a welcoming, accessible arrival space with Registration just inside.
Before you come
- Wayman Lane entrance: Closes to patients and visitors at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18. After that, it will be accessible to employees by badge only.
- Parking: Available in the new Main Entrance lot and all existing patient and visitor parking areas on campus.
- Registration: Just inside the new entrance, on your left.
- Passenger drop-off: Drivers may pull up to the new Main Entrance to drop passengers at the door. Wheelchairs are available inside.
- Emergency care: Continue to use the existing Emergency Department entrance.

What to expect during our soft opening
Staff and volunteers will be available to welcome you, answer questions, and help you find your way. During the first few weeks, we may adjust signage and arrival procedures based on patient and visitor feedback.
