We’re pleased to share our May update on campus improvements and a few additional updates from our organization.
Main Entrance Construction
The new Main Entrance continues to make steady progress. Inside, much of the layout and sheetrock work is advancing well. On the exterior, you will continue to see siding installation and canopy work. Crews are also beginning earthwork, landscaping, and sidewalk preparation.

Memorial Day Weekend
Construction crews will be off for the Memorial Day long weekend, so you can expect a quieter few days during that time.

Emergency Department (ED) Area
In the ED area and on the Wayman Lane side, crews will be sweeping the site, striping parking areas, and adding additional parking signage to improve flow and clarity. At this time, there are no paving activities scheduled.

Introducing MDI Health
MDI Hospital, our Health Centers, and Birch Bay Retirement Village are excited to celebrate the launch of our new unified brand: MDI Health. This effort, two years in the making, brings greater unity across our organization and better reflects the important work happening in all areas of care.

MDI Hospital, our Health Centers, and Birch Bay will keep their names, but we will now lead with MDI Health to emphasize our interconnectedness, teamwork, and commitment to a patient-centered healthcare network. We remain the same independent organization you know and trust.
As you begin to see the MDI Health name and logo across our organization and in our communications, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Visit mdih.org/UnifiedBrand for more details.
