March 2026 | Campus Improvement Update

As we move into March, we would like to share an update on ongoing campus improvement activity and upcoming traffic changes on campus.

New Main Entrance (Main Street)
Construction remains ongoing for the new Main Entrance facing Main Street. You will continue to see and hear construction crews working in this area as exterior progress advances.

Emergency Department Construction (Rear of Hospital)
Work also remains underway on the Emergency Department at the rear of the hospital. As a reminder, this phase of construction effectively divides our campus in half.

  • If you enter campus from the Hancock Street side (for services such as Breast Health, MRI, or Cooper Gilmore), you must also exit via Hancock Street.
  • If you enter from the Wayman Lane side (Emergency and Main Entrance) you must exit from Wayman Lane.

Through-traffic between the two sides of campus is not available during this phase. Please be aware of posted gates and signage.

Construction Zone Safety Reminder
For everyone’s safety, please do not enter any construction gates marked with Landry French signage, either on foot or by vehicle. These are active construction zones and present significant hazards to anyone not authorized to be in those areas.

Upcoming Traffic Flow Change, Mid-March
Beginning in mid-March, Wayman Lane will experience another traffic pattern adjustment. Crews have identified additional parking areas to help improve capacity as we approach the busier, warmer months.

We will have a separate post outlining this change, send information to local media, and update on-campus signage prior to implementation. In the meantime, here is what to expect:

  • When turning onto Wayman Lane from Main Street, all vehicles will take the second left to enter campus.
  • Patients and visitors using the Main Entrance will continue left along a one-way route.
  • Patients arriving for Emergency Services will veer right to access the new Emergency patient parking area.
  • All pedestrian arrivals to the ED should continue using the covered tunnel to access the Emergency Department Entrance safely.
  • Please be aware of the Ambulance Entrance and Bay, do not block this throughway for them.

We are grateful for your continued patience as this important project progresses. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe campus environment for patients, visitors, staff, and our surrounding neighborhood.
