University of Richmond Students Visit MDI Health

MDI Health recently welcomed a student group from the University of Richmond (UR) to learn more about rural healthcare and the unique opportunities and challenges of providing care in our island community.

Students heard from three MDI Health speakers, each sharing their perspective and experience on rural healthcare here in Maine. Meredith Cyr, Recruiter and Employee Experience Manager, discussed her insights on recruitment and workforce needs, Vicky Eaton, RN and Nursing Supervisor, shared her perspective as a registered nurse providing care in a rural community, and Chrissi Maguire, President and CEO of MDI Health, offered a broader perspective on rural healthcare and our mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our community.
